Holy crap I am so sore!!! Did quads in the morning and then hams/calves in the evening. Wow my legs want to fall off!!! Did shoulders/rear delts/traps today and I am sore already. Getting sick sucks, but it did let me rest an reevaluet what I want and how to get there.

I will have some big news in a few weeks so looking forward to that announcement. Well time to train my favorite client. Brent. I will be on his radio show next week so tun into 650am here in Houston at 7am. There is also a webcast of the show also.

If anyone is training with a coach and they do not want you to get a full physical and blood work done to see just where you are at in regards to health then run very fast away from them.

The most respected "coaches" out there want these tests done so that they can better know where your body is at physically and they can better see what they need to do in regards to diet and supplements.

Well it was a good relaxing day withTrish. Tomorrow it is balls to the wall!!!! Have to get down to 260 so that I can get a bearing on where my physique is. Got some very good friends helping me out now with my prep work. So thank you to them and I look forward to showcasing a great physique at Pittsburgh.
Holy crap I am in the bare essientials store with Trish and her best friend Brandy waiting on them to finish picking out makeup!!! LOL

Thoughts

Well as most people know bodybuilding can be a pretty selfish spot. I mean you can have a million people helping you, but all comes down to you. I have been thinkin a lot lately and I have to say even though it comes down to me and my approach and my drive it is really nice to have people there to support me. Especially my girlfriend Trish. I am so lucky becuase she is there 100% for me and really is into my diets and my training. Then again she looks forward to my new body around contest time.

My trek has begun and I am slowly but surely bringing in the body that will need to win the two shows I am entered into. I look forward to all of the ups and downs of the trek and also knowing I have someone so special beind me and also my family supporting me. So if you are a bodybuilder always remember that the people around you those special few are the most important thing. The iron is always there, but those that love you will always be there also. So say I love you to your special ones and let them know just how important they are to your journey.

Diet:

Breakfast-

14 eggwhites
1/2 cup oatmeal or grits


Snack-

protein pancake ( 6 egg whites 1/4 cup oatmeal)

Lunch:

12 oz chicken, turkey, or fish
1 small sweet potato or 1/2 cup brown rice
1 cup green veggies

Snack

8 oz tuna fish
1 cup green veggies

Dinner:

12 oz chicken, turkey, or fish
1/2 cup brown rice or cus cus
1 cup green veggies

Note- Sat or Sun substitute lean beef for protein with lunch or dinner. DO NOT add any meals and DO NOT substitute ANYTHING...be exact you'll love the results!!!

Well I have picked up my first international training client. She is a good friend from the UK. I love life sometimes. Trish and I are back from Austin and my family and friends loved her.
Well now it is time to get serious. Contest diet started this week and it is a killer. I will post it tonight.

If anyone is ever passing through Spring Texas just go to body fitness USA. It is a good hardcore gym.

Well new diet was delivered today and workout is set so I am beginning prep for the Arnold and then the Pittsburgh!!

Ok shoulders and triceps today. Getting back to my old school routine!!! HIT and FST-7 at the end of it. It is a killer combination!!!
Back in Houston after my grandmother's funeral. Got to see my baby and realized that my grandfather was right. Those that you love and care for are the greatest motivation and Trish is my motivation.

Dorian Yate's always said that everything outside of your world should never effect you, but if it does to turn to those that that love you and draw your inspiration from them.

In Indiana for my grandmother's funeral. So this week was a wash, but getting to spend time with family. I miss my wonderful girlfriend though. Never forget that family is all you really have in life. So call them and say I love you to them.

Labor Day Weekend

Well Saturday was arm day. Not much to report. Was still recovering from being sick so I really did not stress to much over weight. More concentrated on my form and the squeeze at the end of it.

Sunday was leg day and I really killed it. I will starte getting better at putting up my workouts on here. Monday was chest day for me.

Shoulders

Well considering i got home around 7 am and downed enough Nyquil to stun a team of oxen i slept like a baby. Got up around 330 and then headed off to the gym to do shoulders. Still feeling a little under the weather so did not do anything super human today.

Shoulder Presses-- 4-10 (55,60,65,65)
Side Laterial Raises 4-10 (1-25,30,35,40; 1-30,35,40,45; 1-35,40,45,50; 1-40,45,50,55)
Shoulder Front Raises 4-10 (25,30,35,40)
Rear Delts 4-10 (65,65,80,90)
Shrugs 4-10 (225,315,405,405)

Arms and Mexican Food

Well we have officially taken up shop at our new gym. Body USA Fitness in Spring, Texas. It is a bodybuilder/powerlifters dream gym. i drooled on Monday when I walked in.

Ok did arms today and it was killer. Right now everytime I move my arms my skin fells like it is going to rip. What a pump.

Workout was:
Straight bar curls full curl and top half curl 4-10 (45, 95, 115, 115)
Tricep pressdowns 4-10 (100,120,150,150)
Incline bench Skull crushers 4-10 (100,110,110,110) w/One arm overhead ext. 4-10(40 for all)
Incline Curls 3-10 (each hand 25,35,35) Iso curls (35,35,35)
Hammer curls 3-10 (20,30,35)
Forarm Grip machine 2-10 (50,50)

Then we hit the Mexican resturant next door for an all you can eat buffet. I ate a little over a pound of chicken fajitas. They were good and for only 9 bucks it was cheap too.

So on the 1st I started upping my cardio to 30 minutes a day instead of just 2 times a week. Have to say I am hating it honestly. Cardio has never been my favorite thing, but if I am to win my two shows then cardio it is till I fall over on a treadmill. Well I am going to be updating my blog a lot more as we progress through my contest prep.

Precontest time

Well August is starting to wind down and going into my last month of bulking before I begin my cut down phase in October. I am going nuts just thinking about all the calories I am going to have to cut out of my diet. But hey I bulked up pretty nicely and have one month left to get up to about 335. Got about 20 more pounds to go and then cutting down to about 290 going into the Arnold and then about 275-280 for the Pittsburgh show. I just want to say thanks to everyone at the FST-7 site (http://www.fst-7.com). The Muskateer's are the best and I am lucky to have friends like you. Hany has developed one of the true workout systems that will stand the test of time.

On a personal note:

I am sad to have read in Britt Miller's blog (brittmiller.blogspot.com) that she has decided to take a break from bodybuilding for now. But she has been hitting it hard for a number of years now and she is the epitome of what a true bodybuilder is. She is not only beautiful, but she has developed her body to elite status. The sport has "lost" one of the true ladies of bodybuilding. I wish her luck in her future endeavors and look forward to the day she steps back on stage.

Support System

I will say this about bodybuilding. You must have a great support system around you or you will not go far since it is easy to talk yourself out of everything.

I have to say the team I have around me from the gym owner/coach Bryan (Anytime Fitness Spring (Spring, Texas)) to his great life style coach Kelli (http://www.healthyhabits4ever.com) and the training partners Bryan has put around me are awesome.

But you need to have a support system also outside of the gym. I am lucky that my family is so supportive of my choice in lifestyle and ultimately my want to make it my job someday.

It also is good to mention that having a significant other that is supportive of your quest is also a huge deal. That person that you are around most of the time that sees you on your good days and bad ones and can put their hand on your shoulder and say honey you are doing good keep it up. Trust me it comes in handy on those low carb days when you want to throw the dumbbells through a wall.

Saturday

Well it is 1 am Saturday morning and I am sitting at work thinking about the leg workout I have in roughly 11 hours. It is going to be massive and brutal. Here is a choice sampling of what we will be doing for it.

Leg Extentions 4x15
Leg Curls 4x15
Leg Presses 6x10
Lunges 4x15
Calf raises 5x25

So I am having to create a mindset of all out war during my workouts. Well i will post later about how the workout went.
